CDL Permit Prep in Bed-Stuy: 10 Attendees, Perfect Ratings

On Wednesday, May 13th, Emerge Career held a Study Hall session at Neighbors In Action in Bed-Stuy. Ten attendees showed up for an afternoon of CDL permit practice questions, pizza, and real talk about what it takes to pass the CLP written exam.

Every single attendee rated the session a perfect 5 out of 5. The group's NPS — how likely they'd recommend an Emerge event to someone- averaged 9.5 out of 10. Four attendees said they're almost ready to schedule their exam in the next two to three weeks. Two, including Shateek who already has his exam booked for May 22nd, are further along and came to sharpen their edge.

From Air Brakes to Drug Testing: Covering What Actually Matters

The CLP exam covers a wide range of topics, and attendees called out the breadth of what the session tackled. Raymond highlighted the air brakes section- one of the trickier parts of the exam that trips up a lot of first-time test-takers. Elizabeth said what stuck with her most was learning about trucks in general. Cleon appreciated having everything explained, step by step.
