Free CDL Prep in Bed-Stuy — Study Hall with Neighbors in Action

On Wednesday, April 15th, Emerge Career held a free CDL permit prep Study Hall in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, hosted in partnership with Neighbors in Action. The session ran from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.

Neighbors in Action has been a consistent collaborator for our Brooklyn programming. Their space in Bed-Stuy is accessible from the C train at Ralph Avenue, which makes it easy to get to for students coming from across Brooklyn and eastern Queens. The afternoon time slot works well for people managing morning obligations — parole check-ins, part-time shifts, childcare.

The format is the same as every Emerge Career Study Hall: guided practice on the three CLP exam sections — General Knowledge, Air Brakes, and Combination Vehicles — with Emerge staff available for one-on-one help. Pizza was on us.
