Brooklyn Study Hall in Bed-Stuy: Nine Drivers, Three Exams Already Booked

Brooklyn Study Hall in Bed-Stuy: Nine Drivers, Three Exams Already Booked

On Wednesday, June 17, nine New Yorkers spent two hours at Neighbors In Action in Bed-Stuy working through CDL permit material in our weekly Brooklyn Study Hall. Pizza, practice questions, and real movement toward the commercial learner's permit exam.

The room was already in motion. Three attendees had booked their permit test before they walked in, with exams scheduled for June 18 and June 25. Several others said they were ready to schedule within the week. This is what Study Hall is for: not convincing people to care, but giving people who already care the prep to get it done.

What they came for

Ask the room what landed and you get specifics, not platitudes. Raymond wanted to understand the fifth wheel. Murjani came for highway knowledge. Tyler pointed to the guidance and the practice questions. Todd put it plainly: he liked how simple but informative it was. Most of the group rated the session a 5 out of 5.

That mix matters. Some attendees were testing within days, others were just starting to study. The commercial learner's permit exam is the first real gate in a CDL career, and we meet people wherever they are on the way to it. For anyone ready to lock in a date, here is how to schedule the CLP exam in New York.
